Using Duolingo

 There are hundreds of apps on the internet for learning languages right now. The most well-known among them are; Mondly, Busuu, Memrise and Duolingo. As someone who has used duolingo for a long time, I will give information about it in this article. I've been using Duolingo since 2017. When I first started using it, I was using it for English, but after I developed English, it started to turn to different languages. I'm currently trying to learn Spanish and French on Duolingo. A very successful app to teach the basics of any language. After all, after I learned the basics from there, I put them into practice in my life. Now let me give you some information about how the application works. When you enter the application, you choose the language you want to learn. If your language is Turkish and you want to use the application in Turkish, you can only learn English, German or Italian, but if you want to use the language of the application in English, you can access almost all languages. If you want, you can start learning from the beginning, if you want and if you have knowledge about the language you will learn, you can take a small quiz and measure your level and continue learning from where you know. There are also duels in the App, and you can enter into duels with your own friends or with other people online if you want, and you can enter into duels about who will learn more languages ​​that week. In addition, as you learn the language, you earn points, and you climb to the top in the race with the people who learn that language. It's a pretty fun app. If you want an application where you can learn a foreign language from your phone, you can use Duolingo.

Using Kahoot

 Using Kahoot, I have an interactive lesson with my students in class. It is very easy to use Kahoot when all students use devices such as computers and tablets, especially during online education. I give a pin code to my students and they use that pin to switch to the area where the questions are. Then they are given a few seconds and questions that I have prepared in turn. They're also fun and competitively solving.

Using Canva

 Using Canva, you can create photos, videos or a variety of materials not only in education but also in many fields. But the field I used was education and I prepared personal certificates for my students who are still in primary school. Thus, when they come to the blackboard and make a presentation or present something, they will get a result that will appreciate them and keep them motivated at the end of the presentation.

Using Quizlet

 

By using the application called Quizlet, I can reinforce with my students after the lesson. I upload the words of the subject we have learned to the quizlet and then I share the link with my students. Thus, they repeat the words they have learned. Below is a link to a quizlet exercise I used.

Using Seesaw

 Seesaw is a platform such as edmodo or google classroom where you can create classes with your students and give them content and assignments. You can see what's going on from the start date of the lesson, check the progress of your students, and assign various activities to them. Here I sent a project to my students and the content of the project is to prepare a poster. While I was posting this project, I also sent examples from the "add template" section in the activity section, so that students can visualize the framework in their minds before preparing their posters.

Using Animaker

 Animaker is a unique app to teach my students the lesson in a fun way. Compared to other animation apps, Animaker is also very easy to use. You create an animation on any subject you want. While creating, customize everything from the color of the characters' hair to the tone of their voices. I am sharing with you the video I made while teaching the prefer pattern to my students.

Using Nearpod

Nearpod is the most useful of the apps I've ever used. After you open an account as a teacher, you can prepare a lot of content for your students. For example, you can do lessons or make videos for lessons (similar to edpuzzle). But the part that I like the most is the activity preparation part for your students. I prepared a small matching activity for my students. English words are matched with their Turkish equivalents. You can access and review the images and link of my activity below.
