Using Jamboard

 

In this activity, using Jamboard, I present an activity in the textbook to students by transferring it online and making it more interesting. When we teach on Zoom, I link them to the activity on Jamboard, and they log in via their drives and can mark up the activity. Thus, instead of a boring and plain education, we spend a lesson in which the student interacts.

Using Edpuzzle

Using edpuzzle, I reinforced the simple past tense I taught my students. Edpuzzle measures the learning level of students with questions hidden in videos, and students do a more fun activity instead of boring homework. There are 12 multiple choice questions in this video and 1 open-ended question at the end of the video, but the questions are not challenging for students. I took the draft video and removed a few questions and added open-ended questions.Students cannot progress through the video unless they answer the question.

Using Pear deck

 By using Pear deck, I make the presentations I make in the lessons interactive with the student. Thus, the lessons are no boring and not just narrated. It is placed between the slides where necessary or when I see the students get bored, with the interactive slides, the student answers the questions and participates in the lesson. In this presentation, I prepared slides for the friendship topic and created areas where they can answer and write.

Using Edmodo

 I opened a class in the application called Edmodo and sent homework for my students. By using Edmodo, I can communicate with my students even outside of school. While doing their homework, they can ask me questions and we can do various projects together. In this assignment, I asked them to prepare a magazine on the subject of Global warming learned in the course. Students will send a copy of the magazine they have prepared to their homework post on edmodo. They will be able to ask me questions while preparing their assignments from the comment section below the post.

The Cognitive Theory Of Multimedya Learning

 The Cognitive Theory Of Multimedya Learning (CTML)

   "People learn more deeply from words and pictures than from words alone" (Mayer, p. 47). When a teacher uses visuals such as graphics, pictures or charts as well as verbal texts and informations, multimedia learning occurs and learning becomes easier and meaningful for a learner. The Cognitive Theory Of Multimedya Learning has three main assumptions to learn with multimedia: 

1.  There are two separate channels (auditory and visual) for processing information. Images seen through the eyes and spoken words.
   
   
   
2.  Each channel has a limited (finite) capacity. "Mayer indicates that individuals at the higher end of that range may have stronger metacognitive strategies, which allow them to manage their limited cognitive resources more efficiently."¹
3.  Learning is an active process of filtering, selecting, organizing, and integrating information based upon prior knowledge.
